After 2020, many people were hoping for a better year. More travel, more partying and generally more freedom again. Instead, 2021 came along with a new mutation and an infection high. For the tourism industry in particular, this was a major blow. Our Green Pearls® partners draw a fairly positive conclusion, nevertheless.
This was 2021:

HUBERTUS Mountain Refugio Allgäu:
“Very exciting! With our remodeling and new construction of our new Mountain Spring Spa and a wholly new underground parking garage.
We had an excellent summer this year, starting in July.
There were innovations to our inclusive services: The time-out bonus. In the
Hotel overnight stay a massage is included in the room rate.
On August 1, 2021, was the 70th anniversary of HUBERTUS.”

Berghotel Rehlegg:
“The year 2021 was an up-and-down year. As soon as we were allowed to reopen the Rehlegg, we were very well booked – we are truly grateful to our guests for that. For 2022, we would like to see a functioning corona strategy, no more lockdowns and a return to normality. The Rehlegg lives from and with its guests!”

Naturresort Schindelbruch:
“This year, our New Country Residence with 4 Private Spa Suites was completed. With its own Finnish sauna, freestanding massage bathtub and Outdoor hanging lounger.
We were part of the model project and were allowed to reopen in spring 2021 as one of the first hotels. Since 11/22, our guests are only allowed to arrive according to the 2G+ rule.”

Creativhotel Luise:
“The year 2021 was again a year full of renovations and remodeling to become even better for our guests. We have tried to use the year to prepare for the coming year in the best possible way. The goal is to be able to offer more in the future, especially for meetings and events. Among other things, two new meeting rooms were built.
We hope that the year 2022 will be better as for occupancy and that we will be able to pamper our guests without restrictions.”

CERVO Mountain Resort:
“Difficult start with Corona rules in the winter season. Rather quiet spring and unfortunately poor summer. Successful, golden autumn – guests are traveling again, and the weather has made up for the bad summer. Now we are excited for a “real” winter with many, international guests in the hotel as well as in the restaurants and again a lot of atmosphere and party at Après Ski and many other events. We want to be able to be real hosts again for our valued guests from all over the world.”

Hotel Sturm:
“This year was probably even more unpredictable than 2020.
The first 6 months lockdown for the hotel and restaurant industry. A travel-heavy summer and fall, with a sense of the old normal, and now just before the end of the year the 4 wave crashing over all of us.
We have seen a lot this year in all areas of the business. We have hired great new employees. Have integrated new communication tools into our operations. In addition, we are now partners with a new association that promotes a fair and attractive work environment in the hotel industry. We have also remodeled our restaurant, Otto’s. The highlight is our open kitchen front and our newly developed kitchen concept. Our guests can come into direct contact with our chefs. Every day we cook fresh, regional, seasonal and of course 100% organic. In addition, we have also renovated our rooms on the first and second floor at the beginning of the year. In the process, our new room category ‘Origin’ was created. The rooms shine in warm earth tones. Simply arrive and switch off. And now we have started a big new project since November. Our country houses are giving way to new, sustainable garden rooms with their terraces facing the garden. The houses are made of wood and have no adhesives or nails. Our roofs will be planted with a variety of green plants in the process. We are already looking forward to presenting these new rooms to our guests in 2022.
For 2022, we fervently hope that we can finally contain Corona worldwide and have a free and joyful year, without lockdowns, fears, and worries.”
