In the last blog post about celebrating Christmas we left off luxuriously, today we start this way. You’re not into cold winters, but the tropic weather also isn’t yours? Then let’s go to Tenerife. In the OcĂ©ano Health Spa Hotel at the foot of the Anaga Mountains, you can spend wonderfully relaxed Christmas days.

They also entertain you with a special program over the holidays that has little in common with the classical family idyll: On Christmas Eve, there’s not only a delicious feast on the plan, but also high-level entertainment. The cultural program with Ruth Geiersberger and Masako Otha makes sure of that.
Is that too much hustle and bustle for you?
Festive atmosphere for the forest animals
For the team of the HUBERTUS Mountain Refugio Allgäu probably as well. Their holiday traditions are a bit more relaxed. But even without a big cultural program, the house cleans up festively and creates a festive mood.
There are several decorated trees in the house and in the hotel lobby, Advent calendars for guests and a special Christmas menu in the evening. Guests even receive gifts when they spend the holiday at the hotel.
A very special tradition is the walk with the host family on the evening of the 24th. According to the motto “Living Christmas tree” they hang animal food in various trees in the forest. This not only provides a rustic flair, but also makes the wild animals happy – a great idea, isn’t it?

Winter wonderland with 70 Christmas Trees
CERVO Mountain Resort also relies on the beautiful nature in Zermatt for that special festive feeling.
Even before the start of the winter season, the hotel will have 70 decorated trees. Together with the Zermatt winter landscape, this is a beautiful sight that even the staff enjoys. Suitable dishes are also provided.
In the Madre Nostra restaurant, there is a special Christmas menu based on the northern Italian style of the restaurant.
The Naturresort Schindelbruch handles it similarly. Here, there are several small Christmas trees and one large one that spans two floors.
Quite classically, they serve goose at Christmas. And not only for the guests – the nature resort offers Christmas goose and game from its own hunting even for pickup.
If you don’t feel like cooking, that sounds like a great idea!
