On Tuesday, we already showed you a few perspectives on the past year. Today we continue with impressions and wishes for the next year.
Okelmann’s:
“From 0 to 200! 😊 As soon as we were allowed to open, our house was always full of guests, the hotel was booked up, and we had to get back into the swing of things. Fortunately, everything worked out pretty well, even if helping hands were often missing. The pandemic has also led to several resignations for our employees; for them, this time is simply too uncertain. We are therefore all the more grateful for all the loyal souls who are still with us and who give our guests the best times.
For 2022, we wish that we can continue to be open and care for people with a secure concept. A time-out and some normality are needed more than ever before.”
LENI Mountain:
“The year 2021 has certainly been a very exciting one and remains to be just that.
At the beginning of the year, we were still confident that at the end of January or at the semester break, borders would open and that the ban on travel would be lifted. As we know now, that did not happen. We decided in the fall of 2020 to use the uncertain time to invest.
It was assumed that in the summer of 2021, as soon as everyone is vaccinated, tourism can resume as normal.
Accordingly, we have improved on the apartment house. The wellness area was created.
And in the lockdown between December and May we built the bar with one of our employees and very much on our own.
We also used this time to think about our direction, set a new 5-year plan, and spent a lot of time with our two small children.
Many in our village – like us – have enjoyed the time with the family very much and don’t want to miss it, however, we all hope,
that it will remain a one-time spectacle.
The summer has shown that the motives for traveling have changed: more freedom, more nature, more freshness, simply going to the Alps more again.
Our wish for 2022 is that there will be a rethinking in society, more solidarity.
The Corona pandemic must come to an end.”
SAND Lifestylehotel:
“The SAND Timmendorfer Strand was and is in great demand in 2021. Many inquiries and conversations recently have shown us how immensely great the desire for a change of scenery, space, and nature is.
We wish for 2022 that we can continue to welcome many guests in our region of Schleswig-Holstein, who appreciate nature and help to preserve it.”
Zeavola:
It has been a turbulent year for the Thai hotel. Thailand itself was not only hit hard by the pandemic and could no longer receive guests also the Zeavola itself was shaken by tragedy. The longtime general manager and heart of the resort Florian Hallermann died in a trekking accident.
After some time of uncertainty, a familiar face has now been found to fill Florian’s shoes: the previous hotel manager, Lion Imhof.
Star chef Satya Beeknoo will also remain with the hotel. After the seven-month closure, the team of the Thai hotel is now looking forward to 2022 full of hope.
