Hearty stews, fresh and orange-glowing pumpkins and delicious, crisp apples: what could be better when the leaves slowly turn yellow? As late summer winds down, there are special treats and autumn delicacies for you at our Green Pearls® hotels.

At Okelmann’s, in the small community of Warpe in Lower Saxony, you are pampered with classic autumn delicacies. For example with the Bioland pumpkins from the neighboring village. However, the family-run hotel also offers unusual treats. A late-ripening raspberry variety, for example — the Okelmann’s kitchen team uses it to make delicious desserts and pies.
Game from the neighboring forest
But it’s not just the sweet tooth among you who will get their money’s worth here: for meat lovers and game lovers, there’s the Warper Wildbratwurst and fresh meat from the Warper fallow deer. The forest area where the animals come from is located directly in front of Okelmann’s. The animals are, of course, hunted in a controlled manner: It doesn’t get any fresher or more sustainable than that. Insider tip of the family: the game burger with cherry chutney and caramelized chestnuts.
But Okelmann’s in Lower Saxony is not the only place where you can get in the mood for autumn. The Biohotel Sturm offers a few seasonal delicacies on the menu, which should not be missing on the classic Thanksgiving table. Due to the location in the Rhone, there are ancient apple varieties from the direct neighborhood — some even from the hotel’s own sweet nibble garden.
Autumnal destinations

There are more than 500 apple varieties of the Rhone — this makes the surrounding orchards and press houses interesting destinations for excursions and also offers culinary variety: The apples are processed to juices, wines, sherry, sparkling wine and other creative products. And what can’t be missing in an organic orchard? Correct, the bees. That’s why there is also delicious honey from the direct neighborhood.
Of course, the Rhone and the Biohotel Sturm have even more on the plate: Quinces, plums and pumpkins, for example. They are also grown and harvested at the hotel and processed directly on-site into delicious smoothies, soups, chutneys, and salads.
Another specialty in the Rhone? The pearl spelt. It is particularly healthy and said to help to improve blood sugar and cholesterol metabolism. So, you can even feast with a clear conscience.
If you are hungry now, the Okelmann’s or the Biohotel Sturm also have adjacent restaurants, where you can get the delicacies even without an overnight stay: Otto’s and Okelmann’s Heimatliebe & Restaurant.
