It is snowing. Actually, the perfect starting position for a weekend at the Berghotel Rehlegg. If it wasn’t for the completely snow-covered roads. Maybe you know the feeling when you sit very upright in the car and try to move the car towards the mountain top by leaning forward? Fortunately, we made it.
Arrive, be welcome and feel good
Arrived at the hotel, we immediately switch to the relaxation mode as we are immediately sent to the restaurant for lunch and cake buffet to fill in the documents. We are personally accompanied to our room, Lichtnelke, as there are a few things to consider. Our bed is a rocking bed. It is made entirely of wood, and designed according to a baby cradle. We are released, there is a stopper that can be attached to the sides, because it rocks quite a bit! The topic of good sleep is at the forefront in the Lichtnelke room types anyway. All sources of e-disturbance such as TV, tablet, and minibar are removed from the room, but can be provided on request. Instead, there is a large telescope to explore the starry sky. You also find an enamel bowl with essences for a relaxing foot bath and in addition, a package of nut wild cherry mixture with sleep-promoting hormones, a sleep primer and a sleep tea.
Pillow menu and sleeping tea for a good night
The Rehlegg provides numerous impressive tools to ensure that guests sleep well: every bed is equipped with a Hästens mattress. Hästens is a Swedish company that manufactures high, comfortable mattresses using a completely sustainable approach. And just as you read the cocktail menu at other hotels, you can study the pillow menu at Rehlegg. 15! different types of pillows are available. Booked in advance via app, the desired cuddly pillow is already in the room. The large selection has made us curious. In addition to the Alpine Swiss stone pine pillow, the 7-herb rest pillow and the side sleeper pillow, we also ordered the weighted blanket and a white noise device.

This gives white noise. An even noise in which all frequency ranges are equally represented and the difference between background noise and louder sounds are reduced. Just as you know it from pattering rain, picture noise on the old TV or from a fan. The test was interesting, but then we decided to turn it off. Our pillow favorite, the Alpine Swiss stone pine pillow, and the weighted blankets had to stay in bed all weekend.
