3. Khao Lak: Discover Thailand in a sustainable and authentic way

Everyone can relax on the beach in Thailand, sip fresh coconuts and feast on spicy curries. But getting to know the country and the life of the locals in a truly authentic way creates memories that will last forever.

Khao Lak at the beautiful Andaman Sea is – especially since the tsunami in 2004 – well known to many people. But even before that it was a popular vacation spot that attracted with a variety of activities. What about rafting on a bamboo raft, staying in the Muslim fishing village of Baan Sam Chong Nua or taking a stroll through the Takuapa market, where locals do their shopping? Also, a visit to the Saori weaving factory, a foundation for the victims of the tsunami, is incredibly interesting.
