Paradiso Pure.Living-Art
Paradiso Pure.Living

Pure.Art at Paradiso Pure.Living, Italy

In the 100% vegetarian Paradiso Pure.Living you will find art where ever you look. It is not about a project or a series of events, but about making art accessible to people. Art is shown in unconventional and unorthodox places. The owners of the hotel want to remove the separation between the different phases of the artistic process – from the conception of a work of art to its completion and its accessibility to the public. In this way, artists and viewers should come together. The artists have a space in the midst of nature that absorbs and connects everything they create during their stay, each bringing their own practice and language, using different media. In this way, visitors can experience a unique design over time and experience art in a tangible way.

Paradiso Pure.Living also supports weekly artist-in-residence programs that provide a platform for artists and guests to interact.

Art in living space in the Grafenast in Tirol

The Grafenast in Tyrol is also dedicated to art with passion. The owners Peter and Waltraud Unterlechner are art lovers. In the hotel, exhibitions take place continuously according to the motto “art in living space”. Hansjörg Unterlechner, the founder and father of the current owner, opened his own gallery in Schwaz in 2011. The Hotel Grafenast even has its own small ski museum. The exhibits date from the turn of the century and back to the 50s. Peter Unterlechner always likes to take time to guide guests through the exhibition and inspires people with his enthusiasm for skiing from the very beginning.

Art in hotels: Sustainable art in Tongsai Bay, Koh Samui, Thailand

The Tongsai Bay has been working for many years with Thai artist Mook Vinyartan, whose artworks are made of materials that would otherwise have ended up in the trash. Her art stands for sustainable use of resources and shows us the transience and beauty of nature.

Mook (Ploenchan Vinyaratn) fell in love with the infinite possibilities of textiles during her studies in England. After her studies, she returned to Thailand and became the design director of the Mae Fah Luang Foundation. During the five years of her work, she was celebrated for her timeless patterns woven by the hands of members of the hill tribes in northern Thailand.
