December is a special month for many reasons and one of them is our new green pearl – the first in Lithuania! At the end of the year, we would, therefore, like to introduce you to the ROMANTIC Boutique Hotel & Spa which is located in Panevėžys, in Lithuania’s North East.
Sleep in historical walls
Today’s ROMANTIC Hotel is located in a former grain mill in the city of Panevėžys in Lithuania’s North East. In its best times, the mill produced over five million tons of flour annually, which were shipped from Panevėžys to St. Petersburg, Moscow, Warsaw and Riga. The mill was extremely modern even at that time and it was well known due to its large capacity. In 2002, director Dalia Remeikaitė and her daughter Dovilė Šipelienė opened today’s 4-star hotel and placed great emphasis on sustainability from the start.

Tradition meets modern
The rooms perfectly combine the historical charm of the old mill with modern comfort, and from many of the rooms, you can enjoy a wonderful view of the Nevėžis riverbed. In addition to the “Old Mill” rooms, which each contain elements of the former mill, there are also newer rooms that – true to the name – have a romantic but natural interior. We can hardly decide which ones we like more! 🙂
The ETNO Spa
Have you ever taken a bath with amber, clay or beer? Traditional Baltic treatments are offered at the ROMANTIC Hotel’s ETNO Spa. But not only the baths, but also scrubs with chopped chestnuts, poppy seeds or local herbs ensure perfect relaxation – and some very special moments. In the whole spa area (and of course we especially like that) only regional and ecologically certified products are used. We are curious to learn more about the planned expansion of the spa area because the focus there is supposed to lay on hair and maintaining its health.
