Even though we hope for sunshine on vacation, the weather on vacation is sometimes bad. So, what to do in case of rain, snow or storm? Our Green Pearls® Hotels have put together some bad weather activities for you.

No sun in sight

In front of the window, the world seems to end and you are annoyed that you can’t book sunshine. Change of perspective; just see the bad weather as a chance for real deceleration. Spending time reading and watching TV in your hotel room is also fun. But at some point, you want to be active again? Our hotels know this problem and have tips for you. We then almost wish for a rainy day in between.

“Schietwedder” at the Baltic Sea

At the sea the weather changes quickly and so there are always stormy and grey days at the Baltic Sea. But for the “Schietwedder” Marion Muller, the owner of the Lifestylehotel SAND has some tips for you. Barefoot or with rubber boots on the beach you will feel like a kid again. Alternatively, you can rent an umbrella at the hotel and walk to the Niendorfer harbor. As a reward for the march in the rain, there is a delicious fish sandwich. In the boutiques at the Timmendorfer Strand you can also go on a little shopping tour. The old Hanseatic city of Lübeck, which is only about half an hour away by car, is also worth a visit.  In the Hanse Museum, you can learn everything about shipping and the history of Lübeck.

Pure relaxation

In the sauna in the Schäferwagen, in the garden of the Hotel Okelmann’s in Lower Saxony, it relaxes particularly well. In the lovingly designed wagon, you will surely forget the bad weather. Afterwards you can make yourself comfortable with your book in the reading corner. If you get hungry at some point, you don’t have to leave the hotel, because the in-house Café Heimatliebe or the Okelmann’s Restaurant offer many homemade, seasonal and regional delicacies.

Black Forest

The Black Forest is also a relaxing place to go further south. The SCHWARZWALD PANORAMA offers you a great spa area of 850 square meters for maximum relaxation. Treat yourself to some time out with a cosmetic treatment, massage or sauna. With a view of Bad Herrenalb, the Panorama Mineral Thermal Swimming Pool invites you to unwind. In addition, various yoga and meditation offers are waiting for you. By the way, you can also do thermal spring shopping in the region. Take the whole day to move from one thermal bath to the other and return to the SCHWARZWALD PANORAMA deeply relaxed. The museums in the surrounding area, for example in Karlsruhe or Stuttgart, are also well worth a visit.

Always nice weather at Gili Lankanfushi?

The Maldives are certainly on your bucket list if you think of white beaches, turquoise blue water and bright sunshine – right? But even there, rain and storm clouds may disturb some of your vacation days. Gili Lankanfushi is offering hot chocolate and cookies for those uncomfortable days. Or you can chase away the bad weather with a meditation lesson or a cooking course. A special highlight on such a gray day is a film show in the restaurant area.
