Travel to Thailand – But safely!

Even though the Corona pandemic is still very present all over the world, a “new normality” seems to be slowly establishing itself. The extensive restrictions are more and more becoming a part of our everyday life. Green Pearls® asked about the current situation in Thailand and how it will be to travel there in the times of this “new normality”.

Travel – But safely

The Thai Tourism Authority (TAT) has created a new safety and health certification for the current, extraordinary situation. It should, therefore, be possible for you to travel safely to Thailand again very soon. Companies that have been awarded the SHA (Safety & Health Administration) Certificate fulfill the comprehensive hygiene and safety regulations. You can find more information here.

Responsible travel not only means protecting your own health, but also the health of others. Hygiene and safety concepts are an important aspect of sustainable tourism.

Sustainable travel experiences

We at Green Pearls® were able to talk to two Thai sustainable tour operators and gain an insight into how they are dealing with the crisis. The two organizations are both committed to the local population and offer you tours and activities that give you an authentic taste of life in Thailand. By participating, you are also supporting the locals – a sustainable travel experience for all involved!

Andaman Discoveries was founded after the tsunami in 2004 and provides the local population with the opportunity to get in contact with tourists through sustainable travel offerings such as guided tours. In order to survive the crisis, the organization has temporarily closed down but hopes to be back in November, and of course, with all the required safety precautions in place. Andaman Discoveries has also applied for the SHA certificate so that you can be sure that the appropriate measures will be taken. They hope to welcome you back soon and help you create memories for the rest of your life.

Andaman Discoveries offers you unique tours and experiences of authentic Thailand. You will discover places where very few tourists visit. Here you have travel genuine experiences away from over-tourism and exploitation.

HiveSters is also committed to sustainable travel experiences in Thailand. The current situation is also difficult for this tour operator, but CEO and co-founder Achi is nevertheless looking confidently into the future. With a lot of dedication and enthusiasm, she tries to pass on the positive view of the world to her team and continues developing creative solutions. To have a chance of survival as a company, the snack brand “Greet Aoi” was founded, and the locals, who usually show you around, now sell the snacks. As a guest on a HiveSters tour, you will receive a care pack with mask and disinfection spray.
